Basics
Linknor on the Mac
Linknor is also available for the Mac. The data is the same as on iPhone and iPad; layout and controls follow the Mac. This page shows what is different on the Mac. In all other chapters, switch the images to “Mac” at the top.
Windows and sidebar #
The main window has a sidebar on the left with all sections, grouped into “Analysis”, “Data tools” and “Storage”. There is no tab bar and no “More” tab.
Lists and details sit side by side: choose an entry on the left and it appears on the right. The composer, encounters and settings open in their own windows, which you can arrange freely.
The question mark in the toolbar opens the matching page of this help.
Keyboard shortcuts #
The most important shortcuts. Help › “In-app help” shows them too.

Settings #
Linknor › “Settings…” (⌘,) opens a separate window with the sections on the left, from General through Backup to About Linknor. The Settings chapter describes them under the “Mac” view.
Sharing, Services and widget #
- Linknor appears as a destination in other apps’ Share menu.
- In other apps, Services › “Send to Linknor” sends selected text or links to the inbox.
- Add the Linknor widget from Notification Center or the desktop.
This feature works in the background or outside the app and has no screen of its own.
Differences from iPhone #
- Right-click replaces swipes and long presses.
- Weeknor is built in (⌘9). Callnor is only available on iPhone; “Call” on the Mac uses your iPhone or FaceTime.
- You lock the app with Touch ID or your Mac password.
- Only on iPhone and iPad: the tour, Siri and Shortcuts, managing tags, places, levels, occasion categories and templates, the gift coach settings, AI analysis search and the “Postponed” list in Network.
