Help in the app

Linknor explains itself in many places: with help bubbles in the views, a help center with guides and a glossary, and an interactive tour. Under “About Linknor”, you find news and ways to get in touch.

Help bubbles #

Many views have a question mark at the top. Tapping it opens the “Help” sheet with a short summary of exactly this area. “What you can do here” lists the most important features, and “Hidden features” lists gestures and shortcuts that are easy to miss.

“Full article” opens the complete text from the help center. “Done” closes the sheet.

In addition, Linknor occasionally shows a tip at the bottom edge that fits the current situation. “Learn more” opens the matching help. Via the “x”, you choose “Remind later”, “Don’t show this tip again”, or “Turn off proactive tips”.

TipYou also find the “Proactive tips” switch on the “More” tab in the “Help & tips” section.

The help center #

The help center brings together all guides. You open it via More › “Help & tips”. At the top, you switch between four tabs.

With the “Search in help” field, you search the library and the glossary.

  • “Library”: articles sorted by topic, such as “First steps”, “Contacts”, and “Encounters”. Each article contains a summary, the text, and “What you can do here” and “Hidden features”.
  • “Glossary”: terms from A to Z, for example relationship score or cluster.
  • “Tips”: short recommendations for everyday use.
  • “FAQ”: frequently asked questions. Tapping a question shows the answer.
NoteIf the search finds nothing, Linknor shows “No results”. Then try other terms.

Restart the tour #

The interactive tour guides you through the tabs of Linknor in seven steps and switches to the matching tab on its own. You can start it at any time via More › “Start interactive tour”. Use “Continue” and “Back” to page through it; the “x” closes the tour.

TipYou find a detailed description of the tour under “First steps”.

The “More” tab and About Linknor #

The “More” tab gathers all areas that don't have their own tab: workspaces such as the Inbox and the map view, assistants for maintenance, search and filters, the library, the Trash, the settings, and the help. With the “Browse more” search field, you filter the sections.

At the very bottom is the “Linknor” row with the version information and a Premium badge. The number next to it shows unread news. Tapping it opens “About Linknor”.

  • “Linknor Premium” opens the Premium page. The subtitle shows whether your subscription is active.
  • The three latest news items and “Show all news”.
  • The app info. Touch and hold it and choose “Copy version” if you want to pass on the version.
  • Under “Legal”: “Legal notice”, “Privacy”, and “Terms of Use”. They open the browser.
  • “Visit website” opens the browser, “Contact support” the Mail app.

  2. Choose “Refresh” to load new posts, or “Mark all as read”.
