Conversation prep

Before an event, Linknor shows you what you should know about the participants. Conversation prep lists upcoming encounters; the briefing gathers the conversation prompts for each person.

Open More › Conversation prep. At the top, you see how many events with contacts are coming up and how many prompts are prepared. Below that, each event follows with its date, number of participants, location, and number of prompts.

The list shows future encounters that have people assigned to them. You log such encounters as usual or import them from the calendar.

  • The icon at the top right opens a menu. Under “Period”, you choose 7, 14, 30, or 90 days.
  • In the same menu, you turn on “Reminder before events” and set the “Lead time”, such as “2 hours before”, “The evening before”, or “1 day before”.
NoteReminders arrive as notifications and require that Linknor is allowed to send notifications.

Briefing for an event #

Tap an event to open its briefing. At the top are the title, date, location, and organization, plus the number of participants and prompts. Below that, there is a card for each person with the date of your last contact and their prompts.

A prompt names a category, such as “Current” or “Conversation topic”, a suggestion, and what it is based on. Prompts come from notes and content you have assigned to the person. If both are missing, the card shows a corresponding hint.

  • Tap the header of a person card: opens the contact profile.
  • Share button at the top: passes the briefing on via the Share sheet.
  • Copy button at the top: copies the briefing to the clipboard.
TipBefore important events, assign notes and content from the Inbox to the participants. The briefing then contains more conversation starters.
